INTERN: CHLOE NORDQUIST

Hi, my name is Chloe Nordquist and I am the marketing/public relations intern here at Mesa Arts Center for the summer. I am currently a sophomore at Arizona State University majoring in journalism/public relations and minoring in marketing. I enjoy both visual and performing arts and since the Mesa Arts Center provides both of these through the theatres, art classes, and performance classes, I am eager to intern here in the marketing department.
Art is everywhere throughout the buildings in the Mesa Arts Center from the museum, to the outdoor spaces, to the lobby floors of the theatres. All of these pieces provide their own creative and beautiful feature that sets the Mesa Arts Center apart from any other art center. The theatres were distinctively designed to mirror the Arizona landscape around us. In the Ikeda theatre, the walls are fashioned after canyon walls, giving the space a desert-like appearance. Similarly, the outdoor areas are bright and alive, providing the perfect space for photos or other outdoor events. The art seen around the campus truly brings Mesa Arts Center to life in my eyes and I am excited to help promote what the center has to offer so others can experience the creativity and wonder of the arts too.
