There
are so many exciting new things going on at Mesa Arts Center, but before I
overwhelm you with all the excitement, let’s first start off with the most
important bit of news. Which is that MAC
has hired a new marketing assistant who loves sparkles, unicorns and of course
the MAC, so without further ado, let me introduce myself; Hello Readers! My name is Jessica and I am so
thrilled to be part of the MAC team. There are so many new developments that
have been going on this year to create an even more one-of-a-kind experience
for all MAC visitors. I look forward to keeping you up to date on the latest
and greatest things going on and of course any additional news on unicorns and
sparkles.
Now that we have gotten the serious
stuff out of the way, let’s get to the fun and exciting stuff that has been
going on here. Our first show of the
season, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, is offering something new and
delicious this year --a Pre-Show Dinner and Drinks Package! Pre-show dinner and
drink packages are now offered for select performances, so see if your show is
offering a package by clicking on the show’s details webpage.
On campus we
have a new awesome outdoor performance stage being added on the north end of the Shadow Walk near
the
Ikeda Theater entrance. Since Arizona has beautiful evenings about
350 days out of the year, it will be home to plenty of intimate outdoor
performances for years to come.
I wish I
could just paint you a picture, as the facility has been getting repainted with
completion due no later than the end of August, but unfortunately I left my
finger paints at home today. A picture
wouldn’t do any justice though, so come see the new paint job and performance
stage for yourself, at our ReMix/ReMaster Season Kick-Off Festival. This super fun party, which is free and open
to all, is on Friday, September 13th
and begins at 6PM and will be mixin’ and masterin’ till 10PM ! I hope to see you all there!
