The Art of Stunning Events

So you take your awesome engagement and pre-wedding photos at Mesa Arts Center - why not have your wedding or reception at Mesa Arts Center, too? You have probably seen your friends in family photos, senior photos or wedding photos in spectacular settings with the distinctive backdrop of Mesa Arts Center. I’m going to let you in on a secret: It is more affordable to have your wedding, reception or business event here with all the prestige of the theaters and the Mesa Contemporary Arts museum, than at any similar reception center in the East Valley.

My favorite reception space is the outdoor, lower-level courtyard of the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, which happens to be a fraction of the rental rate of comparable reception sites in the East Valley. The courtyard is gorgeous lit up at night, with a full-wall waterfall and museum backdrop. Your reception will be unique and classy, and you will have the cachet of listing Mesa Arts Center Museum Courtyard as your setting. This courtyard holds up to 200 guests at a time for a standing come-and-go style reception, 80 guests for a seated dinner reception, or 100 guests for a wedding with an aisle. You can use any licensed, insured caterer, which gives you a lot of flexibility.

There are also terraces available for weddings or receptions. The Joanie Flatt Terrace is on the west side and overlooks the Shadow Walk with shade cover sails, palm trees and other greenery. The view of the Mesa Arts Center campus is breathtaking after dark, and also very cool during the day. This terrace holds 115 guests for a seated dinner, or 175 guests for a standing reception.

Another option is the terrace rooftop of the nearby Arizona Museum of Natural History, which is booked through Event Services at Mesa Arts Center. This terrace looks fabulous with our beautiful Arizona sunsets, and holds 120 guests for a ceremony and seated dinner with dance floor, up to 150 guests for a seated event with no dance floor, or 175 guests for a standing reception.
