Arts in the Park! …Dana Park, that is.




Artists of Mesa Arts Center are descending upon merchant stores at nearby Dana Park as a prelude to spark! Mesa’s Festival of Creativity, for the “First Annual Arts in the Park” event. Twelve MAC artists specializing in mediums ranging from oil painting to glass blowing will display their artwork in front of merchant’s stores such as RA Sushi, Guitar Center and Chico’s this Saturday, March 8, and Saturday, March 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Shopping at Dana Park just got even more local, with the merchant and artist match-ups listed below:

- Beauty Spot hosting jeweler Alicia Short;
- Chico’s presenting creator of glass beads, Heather Sellers (on 3/8) 
   and water color artist - Marsha Blumm (on 3/15);
- Cold Water Creek showcasing beadwork of Susan Feldkamp;
- DAG Fashion hosting oil painter Bruce Stam;
- Fuchsia hosting pottery painter Gill Harry (on 3/8) and painter Arlene Powers (on 3/15);
- Girly Girlz featuring the drawings of Rusty Parenteau;
- Guitar Center hosting glass blower Joey Trankina;
- Pita Jungle hosting metal worker Michelle Startzman;
- RA Sushi highlighting glass blower JeriLyn Alderman;
