Mesa Arts Center could not be more excited to have the Light
Rail just footsteps away from our front doors making visiting MAC even more
accessible to you and the community. There will be many events held throughout
the day to commemorate this historic occasion. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place from 8-9 am at the
Center/Main street station, there will be plenty of photo opportunities at one
of the many selfie stations or you might even meet a dino at Arizona Museum of Natural History or a fairytale princess at i.d.e.a. Museum, both museums will be
offering free admission from 9 am to noon, and grab some food at a local joint
along the rail like Queen’s, Volstead Public House, or Slickables. When the sun goes down enjoy
the Main Street Night Market from 6 to 10 pm featuring live music, art
exhibits, food trucks, and more.
