The artists do their work – they carefully and thoughtfully
create a piece. The curators do their work – they select pieces to come
together in an exhibition, art items and works of art that tell a collective
story, or complement each other toward a common theme. And then what? How does
an exhibition come together in a museum? How does it go from the artist’s
studio or a collector’s wall to arrive in our very own Mesa Contemporary Arts
Museum? Pull on your white gloves and click the video to see how it all comes
together, through the eyes of our museum preparator Frank Gonzales and museum
registrar Colette Pecenka.
