10 x 10 Benefit Show & Sale

“The 10 x 10 Benefit Show and Sale features pieces created by established local artists, as well as budding student artists. We have over 180 works featured this year, which is more than we have ever had before. The pieces are diverse, unique and represent many different artistic voices. This event is a tremendous opportunity to begin your own art collection at an affordable price.” – Tiffany Fairall, Associate Curator at MCAM

The sixth annual 10 x 10 Benefit Show and Sale is this week at the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum. Preview the exhibitions from October 3 -12 and come back for the sale on October 10th from 6-8PM.

How does it work? Pieces are sold on a first come, first serve basis so be sure to get here early. Pieces created by the professional artists, are all 10 x 10 inches and will be sold for $100. They cover a wide range of subjects and mediums; none are alike. The pieces by the student artists, all under the age of 18, are 5 x 5 inches and can be purchased for $25.

Why should I come? The 10 x 10 Benefit Show features work from more than 100 local Arizona artists. Each piece sold has a positive impact on the community. All proceeds from the event will go support MCA exhibitions, as well as the educational programs. This is also a great way to purchase, special one of a kind art pieces that you can’t find anywhere else.

What do I need to know? Tickets are $10 at the door. (If you are a Mesa Arts Center Member, you and one guest get in free & 10% off your entire purchase) You can also pay $10 to enter a raffle to win an original framed Philip C. Curtis print. You can currently view other works by Arizona artist, Philip C. Curtis in his exhibit entitled ‘The Ringmaster’ at the MCAM until November 30, 2014.

We invite everyone to be part of this fundraising event. This is a family friendly event with sweet treats for attendees.

If you are interested in art, would like to start your own collection or just want to support a good cause, then don’t miss this event this Friday!
